I'm not aware of a consensus estimate arrived at by participants in this thread.

I'm also not sure what you mean by "risk factor." If you are referring to an obstacle, I think their biggest obstacle is the world-wide adoption rate of CDMA as a broad-based technology. Without the continued increase in CDMA subscribers, there will be a smaller market for Qualcomm to sell to.

As an example, Amati a couple of years ago had a lock on one type of DSL. But the telecoms were very slow to offer DSL networks because doing so cut into their T-1 profits. That put Amati at the RBOC's mercy. As a result, Amati's means of survival in a market that was too slow to adopt their product was to be acquired by Texas Instruments. I'm not suggesting that this will happen with Qualcomm; I'm only using the example to illustrate the importance of the proliferation of the market controlled by much, much larger companies.
