<<can't tell you the number of times i get a call in the evening of the day when i've sold many put contracts, from the branch manager>>

The reason for this is a legitimate concern over liability and suitability.

Re Your comments on MSDW brokers.
<< do you find it the same at your msdw branch>>>
Yes, very much so. Am the most active options trader there (at the FW branch), only about two other customers deal in them.
Branch manager sometimes asks secretary details of how to write/submit them so we know he doesn't handle many himself.
Called me several times last year, was very (and sincerely)
concerned with my having such high percentage of much Dell and the options. I guess that was October( HeHe).But Dell has done so well the account is over 6 figures and I believe 4 of the 7 brokers which I know there now have some shares of Dell.
The commissions last year were >$15k, so they apologized for making so much and have given me a preferred rate which is vastly better.
Yes, under the 'prudent man rule', I guess a broker has to recommend some diversification (thru phone call or otherwise) to meet his responsibilities under the law, but we do not have to follow them
as long as they are willing to carry the account.
WoW, you have 5 different stocks? I only have one.(G)
