at next low for down cycle, i will buy AMAT LEAPs.

but on the topic of foundries, can anyone answer the following??

1) what percent of total global ICs do foundries produce?
2) what percent of total semi equip sales do foundries buy?
3) how many years do semi equip last (or become obsolete), i read somewhere MU Appleton says about 3 to 4 years I think. Since 1995 was a bumper year in sales, 1999 and 2000 should be great?
4) how long does foundries have to run at 100% utilization before new fabs or lines are opened???
