You are only looking at the last 6 months. Tech stocks are weak this time of year. Greenspan has warned. Y2K will have an affect. As far as AOL, (you mentioned in another post) AOL is going to have to do something to compete with the cable companies. There users connect through slower phone lines. Personally, I am waiting for a big drop back down to the 180 area. CMGI hit there once before recently. When this stock tanks it tanks. People on margin get scared and sell. You will see the stock run up at times during the day, but most of the indicators point to lower prices.. If you trade options I would not hold them overnight. I will be the first in line to buy calls when it gets hit hard.
The economic picture looks very bright. Asia is recovering. Also once this Y2K problem is out of the way, there should be a lot of buying of computer equipment. Which means buy high tech when it tanks late in 1999.
