I understood you to say that now that your home town, where you no longer live, has officially condemned racism, the relations among various racial and ethnic groups there have deteriorated.

My response was that in my observation, race & ethnic relations have improved in the years since I was a child in the South. I then suggested that the disparity in our observations could possibly be attributed to the fact that we grew up in very different places, and to the possibility that we may live in very different places now.
Would you disagree with that?

Now to segregation, specifically. There is a huge difference between voluntary self-segregation and official segregation, as much as I may deplore the former. Are you saying that the inhabitants of your home town now frequent separate public toilets, and lynch those who use the wrong ones?
