What an Idiot!

A single bad act can violate several different crimes and the malefactor can be convicted of several different offenses without violating the principle of double jeopardy. Any one who had read any law knows that. Except Terrence, who seems to be in a particularly confused state tonight.

Oh, by the way, what does the ignorance of an electorate have to do with judicial approval and enforcement of anti-hate crime laws? Shall we let Terrence know that federal judges are not elected?

All laws founded on the hypothesis of "hate crimes" are redundant....

Setting aside, if we may for a moment, the question of legality, Terry, could you consider whether they are, in fact, redundant? For example, as far as I am aware, it is not illegal to burn two pieces of wood; yet burning a cross to make a racist statement should have some stronger response than the trespassing and littering laws.
