Don't think the PC-OEMS are not aware of Wave just because we have not had an announcement yet. Wave was in advanced negotiations with all the major PC-OEMs as far back as September 1998. The PC-OEM's are ALL very well aware of Wave Systems. The PC-OEMS will not announce any relationship with Wave until they are within a few weeks of shipping EMBASSY in their boxes. However, if Wave were to announce some sort of dongle with EMBASSY this could speed things up in my opinion. It would be simple to put an EMBASSY/dongle in a new PC box with 10-12 of the hottest PC titles and presto....we have deployment. It is my opinion that the Wave team will have a very well thought out plan for execution, marketing and PR. Remember, Peter Sprague stated something to this effect in a recent interview....Wave does not deserve any kind of stock price if Wave does not deploy... The translation is that DEPLOYMENT IS COMING and it is IN THE BAG!!! I don't think Peter would make that kind of statement unless the deals were locked and loaded. Long and loving it.
