DLL, Thank you for your courteous post.

As you said: Yeshua was an agent of creation. One who employs an agent is normally said to do whatever the agent accomplishes. Example: You hire a contractor to build a house. You say "I built the house." The mason says "I built the house" and the builder says the same thing. Who built it? They all did, including yourself. Scripture speaks of Jehovah as saviour, he is, he saved us by Jesus, his agent.

The firstborn of all creation you say "refers to Yeshua's role as Savior." That's an interpretation contrary to the text. We must not contradict Scripture.

"Yeshua means YHWH is salvation." You're right. This name was carried by four OT men: 1-Joshua son of Nun 2-The owner of the field at Beth shemesh where the ark came to rest 3-Chief of Jerusalem during Josiah's reign. 4-son of Jehozadak, 1st post-exilic high priest. Yeshua, Joshua, Jesus are pronunciations of the same Hebrew name. To to be named Yeshua is no evidence of divinity.

The council of Nicea was presided over by Constantine, an unbaptized pagan warlord who murdered both his mother and a son. Neither the emperor nor the council have any scriptural authority, as Christ said: My kingdom is no part of the world. Arius was right! A substantial minority of delegates to the council opposed the creed, others stayed at home as they recognized it was a pagan assembly.

I'll continue soon, DLL.
