Actually, Andy, I think that those are good points. I suspect that most people are revolted by the "hardcore" material, and are not susceptible to its influence. The existence of a prior disposition does not mean, however, that hardcore material could not feed the fantasies, cause preoccupation that might not otherwise exist, and legitimize the activity in the persons eyes. The phenomenon of "desensitization", where one gets use to the more repellent aspects of something, and begins to regard it as normal, is well known... Anyway, I have called into question the legitimacy of images and descriptions of torture, murder, and predatory sexual abuse, not ordinary erotica...
