Joe,.Re:.Naturally Dell went down to 38 and change while I was not near my damn computer so I really do not know how low the Dell May 40 calls was when it got down to 38 and change.

The low price on that option looks like it happened on April 20th. The 38 15/16 happened on May 5th.

"Aren't you a Dell bull?"

yes i am. i own stock and some long term options. i went short the may 45 call covered by my stock. generally do not sell calls. too much risk. i hate buying back at a loss. 21-day moving average of six-month volatility is about 70 now so dell is likely to move rapidly (wish i could tell you which way). also earnings announcement prior to may option expiration is to the benefit of the option longs.

i am addicted to this game so even when i'm away from my computer i either go to a library or get quotes and trade from a pay phone. (still too cheap to get a cell phone).

for volatility charts, an option calculator and other features, see mr stock.
