Happy Mother's Day, CGB, a little late! We went to Tyler to take Dan's mother out to lunch and were gone most of the day. It was a lovely day- with roses and CDs from CW and a cell phone from Ammo , which I would prefer not to put up my butt, thank you, and even a card from the cats. It has a big fat kitty on the front with Happy Mother's Day... - then on the inside it says: Well, enough about you. There's an empty food dish sitting over there.... Myers came in meowing, and CW said to him," Meow, meow, meow, is that all you can talk about?" THe real surprise was this morning when CW all by himself made me breakfast and served it to me at the computer. Last week, we grounded him for being rude... this week he is so wonderful, he should be awarded sainthood. Teens are so- _______(fill in the blank with the personality of the moment) Four of them just came in and when I went to the kitchen, they had, in the space of five minutes on their way to the basketball hoop, eaten five dozen cookies that I had JUST baked. With not even three weeks left until graduation, every day feels precious and special. I think we're all feeling this- CW said to me, "Do you think Ammo knows how much I really love him?" "No," I said. (Should I have lied? He's been abusing him for 16 years. How would he know?) He took him to lunch -to an all you can eat pizza place- and CW paid. "Now he knows," he said. I'm holding all these things close to my heart to take out and savor later..
