Hersh, try this - click anywhere on a quote sheet to make it active. Then right click and select "Export Data" (last item on the list). You can save it as tab, space or CSV delimited data.

For instance, here is a list from one of my quote sheets in CSV format:

Symbol,Bid,Ask,Last,Volume,65-Day Avg Vol
"ZDZ",32.6875,33.0625,32.875,209000,
"ZD",13.625,14,13.8125,982500,
"YHOO",147.438,147.5,147.438,6896900,

Also, have you checked out the onelist e-mail QCharts forum on onelist.com? (It's free.) Search for the QCharts archives. The QCharts postings here and on onelist are quite active.

Regards,

Dan.

Re: Exporting Position Data (ie Basis, Date, comments, etc.) from 1 Quote Sheet to another

Bob- Thanks for your idea...but it doesn't work when I am IMPORTING into another Quote Sheet.

Here's what I'm attempting to do and would appreciate anyone's help:

I have a quote sheet with positions data. I am trying to "split" it into 2 quote sheets (to allow for more entries..I'm at the limit of the number of lines I can add to the original sheet.)

So I save the symbol set for this first Quote sheet, I create a new blank quote sheet and then attempt to export the original sheet's symbols into the new blank sheet. It doesn't work. The only data which is imported into the new sheet is the symbols themselves. However, all the original sheet's POSITION-related data is not imported! It appears that the POSITION-related data is either not saved or at least I haven't figured out how to import the POSITIONS data into the new sheet. It seems that qcharts will only save the symbol set which can be imported to another sheet but not the position or comment data.

Does anyone know any tricks to save -- export -- and then import ALL the data (positions and comments) from one quote sheet to a second quote sheet?

Can anyone help me here, please.. (Gibbons???)

TIA. Hersh
