To "AJ Berger". Sir - it is just SOOO easy for you to sit at home - nice and comfortable - and say (self-righteously) that "we" (N.A.T.O.) could have "found another way" to solve this Kosovo "problem". OH REALLY - HOW!! tell me, Sir - just EXACTLY what "other" way (specifically) are you talking about? the TRUTH is that "we" tried EVERY OTHER way - diplomatically - that "we" possibly could to solve this "problem" before - BEFORE - "we" HAD to (tragically) resort to the military "solution". excuse me - but were you on the moon or "something" when all of those "other" ways were being tried? this is exactly what i meant in one (1) of my prior posts applicable to this subject. "Americans" - per se - just have "it" SOOO damn good that the majority of us simply can NOT even REMOTELY conceive - or remotely relate - to what is really "going-on" in other countries like Kosovo and/or China. i will tell you one (1) thing - my friend - and this comes from my "heart" as well as from my "head". i absolutely hated - HATED - having to fight - and see so many of my friends killed and permanently maimed - in the Viet-Nam war (actually what i really hated most about that war was LOSING the damn thing). however - in a way i am actually VERY glad that i was in that war. i say this because Viet-Nam taught me some very "hard" lessons about this country and about "life" which i honestly know that i could not have learned any other way. Viet-Nam taught me that at least this country stands for SOMETHING worth fighting - and yes - if need be - even dying for. that "something" is called FREEDOM!! Viet-Nam also taught me that the "price" that we must CONSTANTLY "pay" for all of our many WONDERFUL freedoms is NEVER FREE!! these are just some of the lessons that i will never forget. these are also some of the lessons that i absolutely KNOW that a LOT of my fellow "citizens" have obviously NEVER learned - and (UNfortunately) probably never will learn - at least not until it is TOO LATE!! take care.
