Actually, several successful engineers back here in
the Silicon valley don't even have an engineering
degree. They may not be all college drop out,
but they are certainly listed and paid as engineers
by their companies. The EE and software engineers are
not like civil engineers, that need to be certified.
As long as some one is willing to hire them for their
extraordinary achievement in engineering, they can
be regarded as an engineer. So, there is nothing
wrong to say Bill is (or was) an engineer.

Anyway, the point I had was just to emphasis that
not every engineer is stupid. Also, many college
graduates are successful entrepreneurs.
