ID for license? You mean driver's license? Illinois doesn't use the SS# in your number, although it is contained in the personal description info.

I have been musing on this biz and given all the things that can be done once someone has your name, address and SS# it is really like stealing candy from a baby. And surprised more people don't get wacked given how easy it is and the fact that apparently no one will go after them civilly or criminally, unless I do and want to do all the leg work. I'm out nothing other than a hassle (hopefully), the bank crams down the bogus charges to the merchants so they don't care, the poor merchants can't bother going after who knows who for 500 bucks so they charge it off to bad debts. What a deal.
