There is always a point in stretching one's mind to understand the thinkers who have influenced civilization. Earlier we were yakking on about what constitutes a core with which well-rounded, educated people should be familiar.

Kant is important. The Critique of Pure Reason is stimulating of thought now as much as ever.

Nietzsche is important. One does not have to dream of the Superman to think so.
