Central Command and Kaspersky Lab Announce the Discovery of a New Virus That Infects Corel Draw
MEDINA, Ohio, May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Today we are seeing a growth in the development of viruses specifically written in the internal programming languages of the worlds most popular desktop applications.

With the discovery of "CS.Gala" the first known virus to replicate under the Corel script language the flexibility for development and possibilities for potentially dangerous or malicious applications to exist keeps spreading.

CS.Gala is the first known virus that infects Corel Draw scripts. When a infected script is activated, it searches in the current folder for other Corel Draw scripts (*.CSC files), parses their contents and finds the names of infected scripts and scripts that are not infected yet. On June 6th, the virus displays a message. The virus has no destructive capabilities.

A complete virus description can be found on the web in the AntiViral Toolkit Pro Virus Encyclopedia at: avpve.com
