Why are you looking at only 4 @ strong buy, what about the 11 @ M.buy
What's with them?

Some great posts you put together, but you're talking about the past,I looking to invest today.

I think that your strategy is interesting, but isn't the risk of a buyout really huge here? This latest fiasco could give the circling buzzards just the incentive to swoop down on the road kill (or if you prefer Mr. Fun's kinder analogy of musical chairs). Granted, if CSCO made any kind of generous offer, it would look like an act of desperation which would torpedo its stock, but what about the Europeans?

IMHO, as a takeover bet, NN is looking better and better.

Clay

And most of the analysts have maintained after february's preannouncement as well but the stock went nowhere.

It went from 25 to 37 1/2. Nice 50% rise in 3 months.

finance.yahoo.com

Incidentally, do you know what NN does? Do you realize there are only two companies in the world who have carrier-grade ATM core switches, NN and ASND? And do you know that every carrier around the globe needs them if they want to upgrade to broadband speeds? And that every telecommunications vendor is trying to get into that space through acquisition? And that NN's the only one left independent?

Will you be buying any more shares here?

Absolutely!

it was shorts trying to close out profitable positions

The only shorts who made any profits worth bragging about were those who had short positions before the pre-announcement. Anyone who shorted that morning is lighting candles to whatever gods will listen.

Stam: Thanks for posting what you think of Newbridge. Just catching up on some reading and I have to concur with your view of what occurred Friday.
