I was discussing the potential effects of a recession or sudden blip in consumer confidence with a guy the other day (I always get into these discussion about stocks somehow.. :0) and he made an interesting point.

Most of the people on the internet are reasonably well off and have stable incomes. Thus, so long as any recession is fairly minor, the internets may actually prosper as people look for even better bargains.

But have folks losing jobs or facing credit crunches, then I will truly worry.
