Greg - I'm long SPYG, had cost of 8.5/8, but started trying to trade, which hasn't worked out to bad... I certainly wont be trading now. I think the recent announcements are going to be huge and I don't want to miss out when it takes off like a rocket. You mentioned you had been looking around for other plays! Without hyping another stock on SPYG's board, let me mention "ELON".. You can get a pretty good handle looking at the Yahoo -&- Fool boards... You'd be getting in early, but worth your time to look...

In my opinion buying MediaOne is getting AT&T at a discount as long as the deal does go through. It's discounted due to the fact that it may not take place, I feel the Gov't wants a big competitor to AOL etc. I feel AOL may for once unwind from here, this will cause huge interest in the digital & devices fields, (IATV) (GIC) (SFA) (TUNE)(SPYG)... etc. This week we will see new wars on the broadband side, I feel Hollywood and the movie buis. are going to also get involved soon.
