I don't really know all the players. I have read all of Ayn Rand's fiction, and I did like it. I am certainly not a philosophical Objectivist. I have several of Nathaniel Branden's psychology books, and I thought they were OK. So I have a little bit of knowledge, but not much.

I seem to recall someone, maybe Nate Branden, talking about how Rand's husband didn't really like what was going on, but was powerless to stop it. I don't think she had the right to mistreat him, but I guess he could have left her if it was intolerable.

According to Branden Rand encouraged them -- she did not "mate" them. What a laugh!
