Matt, I have read this piece before, but it's always good to be reminded of the evil that lurks in the stock market. Thanks.

Matt, just read the Chelekis essay
What a superb lesson for CFU members. One question: after the MMs fleece the investors and the stock is back down to or below its floor, do they start the same process all over with that stock or always move onto a new one?

I remember that great article well. It used to get posted all over rb back in 1999/2000 and tho I probably haven't seen it in 5 years, I still today quote one of those last sentences regularly as SPONSOR-DD has become one of my top-3 criteria.

In these small cap stock
markets, you are investing more in the INDIVIDUAL behind the play,
than the "possibility" of the play itself. Ask yourself before
speculating: Could I lend this person $5,000 for a year and hope to
get it back? If not, then don't!

Matt, do you still consider George Shelekis' article a "MUST READ"? Or to reframe my question, WHY ISN'T THIS GREAT ARTICLE POSTED AT THE IHUB HOMEPAGE?

Also Matt, have you redd Sarbanes/Oxley and more specifically "Section 308" therein? I think it would be DYNO dood if you would post-link Sec.308 right smack in the CENTER of the ihub homepage....what a SUPER-EASY way to better inform your newby readers, especially those ihub-readers that got severely portfolio-snatched in ihub lit-up-board-fav's, CSHD and SLJB?

Sec. 308. Fair Funds for Investors

(a) CIVIL PENALTIES ADDED TO DISGORGEMENT FUNDS FOR THE RELIEF OF VICTIMS- If in any judicial or administrative action brought by the Commission under the securities laws (as such term is defined in section 3(a)(47) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (15 U.S.C. 78c(a)(47)) the Commission obtains an order requiring disgorgement against any person for a violation of such laws or the rules or regulations thereunder, or such person agrees in settlement of any such action to such disgorgement, and the Commission also obtains pursuant to such laws a civil penalty against such person, the amount of such civil penalty shall, on the motion or at the direction of the Commission, be added to and become part of the disgorgement fund for the benefit of the victims of such violation.
