Brightpoint Expands Into Zimbabwe INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 10, 1999--Brightpoint, Inc. (NASDAQ:CELL - news) announced it has commenced operations in Zimbabwe under an agreement with a division of Post and Telecommunications Corporation (PTC), based in Harare, Zimbabwe. The division, NetOne, is authorized to install, operate and maintain a cellular telephony network in Zimbabwe. Brightpoint Zimbabwe will provide various services necessary to support a prepaid wireless communications system for NetOne.
