Dear Fred,
"You see, i agree 100% with Charlie Munger - implement a 100% tax on all stock profits on any stock sold within one year from date of purchase."
Wow that would suck!!! Who is this guy and do you have a link to his
draconian suggestion. Am terribly curious why he feels this would
even be a viable "solution" to a perceived "problem". With all due respect ( even without reading what he has to say ) the guy has his head in a very dark place that follows him wherever he goes.,,B

Fred: In answer to your questions:
1) is FNTN/Siemens equipment/software proprietary ? if 'yes' - BIG problem.

This answers comes unedited from SIEMENS, DIRECTLY:

SIEMENS VP: "I would rather use the term "Open Technology with proprietary enhancements". The FNTN platform uses, as a base, openly available hardware and software technologies. This allows FNTN (and Siemens) to take advantage of the "best-of- breed" products at the most cost effective prices. Proprietary enhancements are then "layered" onto the open platforms, providing performance enhancements and FNTN product uniqueness. When new releases of Hardware, Operating system and application software are released, FNTN can easily upgrade. Siemens uses this approach internally."

Okay?

Here's your second question:

2) does FNTN have sufficient personnel on their roster to handle the 'flood' i UNDERSTAND we (keep hearing) we are about to get ?? if no, BIG problem.

To this question I will supply you with both my own personal opinion as well as a little clue from Siemens. Draw from it what you may without my interpretation.
My answer is yes - FNTN will be able to handle a flood of business - and secondly, I hope we're not now going to worry about FNTN having too much business... are we? Should too much business become problematic remind me to double my shares.
The following quote from Siemens is what I and many other believe to be pertinent to your "flood" question:

SIEMENS VP: "My goal is to make FNTN a Multi-Media showcase and a conduit for new emerging technologies and applications... a goal shared by my European counterparts."

I hope this information is useful Fred and helps answer your questions.
