Obviously idiotic laws, yes, and that is a good reason to be careful about the issue of compliance. But it is true as well that people have selective contempt for laws, and that cannot be tolerated. Should I let a thief off of the hook because he doesn't believe in the sanctity of private property, or a murderer because he thinks that the strong have a right to prey on the weak?
