Steve:Lu purchased Liv,&Ascend,maybe not working. Yes, 3COM may not add anything Ascend is offering now. I guess, LU will work thru the Ascend problems. But, racing to intergrate, leads me to believe there is a problem. Yes, LU will not die and I over exaggerated a bit. . Of course, LU will not die but I interpreted some articles that LU has missed an opportunity and it could have some negative effects in the long run since they have lofty revenue goals. In today's communication environment "Brave New Telecom World", missing a beat could have negative results. I guess, I could be totally wrong in thinking that the DSL cable modemn and Remote Access equipment (Wireless) could be intergrated with LU's mission. And, yes, 3com's technologies may be of no use to LU also. Nonetheless, I believe that some of the technologies could have some value in the future for LU. In addition, LU could get rid of 3COM areas not compatable to their mission/theme. (Palm for example could bring a good premium). (Maybe not.) I apologize if you interpret my comments wrong as LU being the 'White Knight'for 3Com. I did not mean for my comments to sound that way. I believed, there could be some valuable technology synergies. Finally, yes, it my shortcoming for not being a better writer. Sorry. Thanks for the constructive comment. Al
