Valueman -

I only went in to see what was going on and what deals. It may have been the Q phone and indeed it must have been since I don't know of a similar design that the Q sells. So I guess it was a Q phone. They mentioned something about shorter talk times with it. But I was in a hurry and didn't really get down to details.

Are they "dumping" Q phones at all? I thought the Q phone was quite new and a hot new item?

Best regards,

L

Valueman, *Q-phone*

During the last conference call I believe management stated clearly that the Q-phone is only being produced in Brazil. If a Sprint store still has any, my guess is they are from remaining inventory or perhaps reworked defective phones that had previously been returned.

And Limtex, the Q-phone is not a new item. I bought mine in the Fall of 1997 when it first became available in my area. It was the only high-end cdmaOne phone available at the time and sold well initially. Unfortunately, as a single mode 1900 offering demand was limited, plus there was the famous faulty plastic problem that led to a lot of returns.

Best regards,
Jim

PS. Some time later, maybe a year, I believe there was a dual mode Q-800. Don't know how well it sold as the pricing picture had changed quite a bit by then.

Q still carried by Sprint in Dallas; at least it was on display about 10 days ago.
