David, we're both right. MU expanded its own ops. AND the TI deal took some capacity off-line in the immediate aftermath.

Some of it remains out of the equation.

However, would TI have been as aggressive as MU in making the upgrades? Is the upside from taking some capacity off-line offset by the speed at which upgrades were made in the hands of MU v. TI? Is industry supply writ large worse off 6 months after the fact? Will it be worse off 1 year? 2 years?

MU's management has done a terrific job convincing the public that everyone but MU is to blame and getting a lot of people to buy the "when we increases production, it's because we're so darn efficient; but when everyone else does it, they're just inefficient players grabbing market share" line.

IMHO, it's offensive.

Any idea you have about those numbers? Also how many parts do you think they have "stockpiled" if any?
