I want to report problem resolution. I waited less than 15 minutes on hold (yes, they actually let you hold, now, which is an improvement), before getting through to a kindly gent named Paul. He put me back into the system, and about 20 minutes later I was on the air with QCharts again.

Happily, I just happened to be all in cash this AM, so I wasn't pulling my hair out just yet.

Paul's response to my probing suggests they are indeed adding staff and setting up some arrangements to deal with the e-mail support backlog.

I'm disappointed that the subscription folks didn't bother to notice I was a qcharts subscriber before turning off my "free" 90 day trial "Plus" subscription (and everything else!), but I'm happy to say I was able to get through and back up with a minimum of pain.
