Simply put: anyone holding a stock short is responsible to pay ALL DIVIDENDS issued representative of the proportion of shares they hold short. This means that (by dividing up their company and issuing dividends), MDIN has forced the shorts to finance their remaining properties. This is how I read

This is what Schwab was "trying" to tell me. The shorts will be responsible for issuing the dividends making it where everyone WILL get their dividends.
