>>SMITH BARNEY REPORT.....

--SUMMARY:--Schering-Plough--Drugs * Investors have written off Zonagen/SGP's VASOMAX for male erectile dysfunction (MED). It is not be dead yet, but it's still controversial. * PFE's VIAGRA is the most effective oral drug for MED with an efficacy response rate of 63-82%, but its interaction with nitrates has created cardiovascular safety concerns--especially among primary care physicians. * In placebo controlled trials, oral VASOMAX efficacy response was 34%-48%. * At the recent AUA meeting, a new long term VASOMAX trial showed an impressive 69% response rate. But the trial was not placebo controlled, so these data are inferior to the 34%-48% from controlled trials. * Regarding nitrate interaction, a study is currently being conducted by SGP to determine if VASOMAX shares this liability with VIAGRA. If it does not, that would be a significant competitive advantage. <<

You know the efficacy rating for human males aged 16-18 is close to 99%! Guess when smith and barffy says things like this you got to wiggle the lil guy a little and take it for what its worth. Since it means that taking the drug actually makes it harder (cough cough) to get the lil guy to do anything worthwhile (actually mostly in the intellectual sence of the word it is a waste of time).

martin,

Just thought I would share my apomorphine experience:

My cousin read the hype on apomorphine and decided he wanted to try some of that old bottle of 6mg tags I have on my desk (not for ED therapy but only out of curiosity to see if he would cop a buzz since it is closely related to morphine). I warned him that he very well could end up puking all over himself but he didn't care and cracked a 6mg tab in 1/2 and stuck it under his tongue. About 5 or 10 minutes later he claimed to feel relaxed and put the other 1/2 sublingually. The final result was that his experience was that 6mg apomorphine made him feel very relaxed.

So the VLAD figures since the ol cousin didn't puke his guts out he would personally investigate the effects of sublingual apomorphine and he placed about 2/3 of a 6mg tab under his tongue. Results: Vlad felt a little relaxed and moderate nausea resulting in the need to wash out all apomorphine residue from his mouth so that he wouldn't get more nausea and maybe puke. IMO this apomorphine deal is really a non player in the ED market. No different than Vasoscam.
