I think it's a translation problem. Software drive can also mean 'floppy' drive.

Drapeau, it looks like this Chinese computer company is selling
PCs with ZIP drives installed, instead of the traditional floppy
drives. Very interesting! It may be easier to do in China, since
there are many more first-time PC purchasers who never had a
floppy drive [1.44MB] before and therefore do not need backward
compatibility.
