Get this guy out in the spotlight! Talk about a great ambassador for Apple!: ''Apple's return to health is more than even I, a Mac addict, could have dreamed,'' said John Knoll, visual effects supervisor for ''Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace'' and a Macintosh developer. ''I was hoping the iMacs and G3 tower machines would help Apple limp back, but the company is charging back.'' I'd like to hope that the production of the next Star Wars installment (which is reportedly going to be all digital--no film involved) will involve G4 Macs running OSX...at least for image editing if not video compositing, layouts, blah blah blah. Downloaded OS8.6 last night at 1 a.m. CST; took 12 minutes and installed flawlessly. Very nice. iMarq
