ot
BBG You should have no problem with that upgrade
My monitors usually last 2 or 3 computer upgrades before I replace them. The speakers will be no problem, but DELL will send you a new keyboard whether you want it or not

The answer is YES but since DELL sends you a new keyboard, I would use it.

and plug in her existing DOGWAY 21" monitor
Yes you can. If the monitor has special features they may not be supported without drivers, usually the drivers work across systems but it really depends on what was done by the vendor. Dell sells Altec Lansing speakers, if it is one of the same models found on their website it will have supported drivers. The Dell will come with a keyboard, but you can substitute a compatible. If you want to use a USB keyboard there may be driver issues, although Win-98 should support them.
