Web-Site to Become Financial Portal Site in Lieu of On-Line Trading Site

MONDAY, MAY 17, 1999 5:38 PM EST - PRNewswire

ROSLYN, N.Y., May 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Sagamore Trading Group, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: MORE) announced today that it has withdrawn plans to directly offer on-line trading services via its Time2Trade.Com web-site and is instead working towards creating a dynamic financial portal site under the Time2Trade.Com domain name.
Although Sagamore does not intend to use Time2Trade.Com as a trading site, the Company is currently negotiating transactions with two existing on-line broker-dealers. Sagamore believes that this shift in focus will have an advantageous effect on long-term operating results. Additionally, the Company believes it can further develop its financial web-sites and attempt to attract advertising revenues from on-line brokerages and financial institutions. The financial portal site will include free real-time quotes, a real-time portfolio management system, analyst coverage, proprietary market commentary, email and instant messaging news services, and links to various on-line trading and financial information sites. The Company's goal is to attempt to provide a network of financial information web-sites catering to investors of all levels of sophistication on a wide variety of financial instruments including equities, mutual funds, options, bonds and futures.

"We are very enthusiastic about the response that our Learn2Trade.Com web-site has received to date. We are now convinced that Learn2Trade.Com has the ability to become a significant revenue generator for the Company as we are in discussions with companies who are interested in advertising on our Web-Sites. With the positive response to the launch of Learn2Trade.Com, we believe the development of a true financial portal may spark a tremendous amount of interest from our colleagues in the financial and brokerage sector in general. We firmly believe that a financial portal site, combined with ISP capabilities, could give our Company the ability to attract a wide array of advertisers including: brokerages, mutual funds, insurance providers, retail banks, and financial periodicals.

Although Sagamore will not directly provide Internet trading services, management believes that potential partnerships with on-line brokerage firms may result from the creation of a financial portal site," stated Jonathan Gottfried, President of Sagamore Trading Group, Inc.
