Look back on the last 5 or 6 earnings announcements from DELL. The stock runs up before earnings and then drops almost 10 points right after. No matter how good the numbers are....

I think you start to see the drop as much as two days before the announcement. This is due to the fact that others have seen the pattern. Just my opinion....

Beware. You can never count on Dell going up after earnings announcement even if it is very good. It can go down just as easily. I know. I have seen. It will go up until the day of earnings and on that day it will sell off dramatically (usually). If the earnings are good but not astounding, it will sell off the next day. Only if they are an unbelivable blow out will it go up on the day after earnings and hold the gain.
I would sell Dell the day before the earnings announcement or earlier that day if you are not a long term buy and hold
