InMedia contracts with premier Web site designer InMedia Presentations Inc IMD Shares issued 9,839,388 1999-05-05 close $0.76 Thursday May 6 1999 Mr. Vikram Khanna reports InMedia Presentations has hired Communicate.com, Inc., a Vancouver-based Web site design firm formerly known as IMEDIAT Digital Creations, to design and implement its PhotoChannel site. The site will be officially launched in June of 1999. The microsite explains that the What's New feature of the PhotoChannel site details new products, service announcements, upcoming events and industry rumors. In addition to reference information, expert guest appearances, links to other on-line photography destinations and hints, tips and checklists are available at the site. Photographers can also access expert reviews of the latest products before buying them. The PhotoChannel site can be personalized with My PhotoChannel. The channel provides users with information specific to their interests and stores personal photos as pictures, albums and shows for free lifetime archiving. Individual pictures, photo albums and multimedia slide shows can be selected for public or password protected, private viewing. The PhotoChannel also offers chat rooms that allow peers to interact with each other as well as topical discussion forums attended by experts. Users can also use the site to join special interest communities to share and discuss their pictures, photo albums or slide shows. On the more creative side, The PhotoChannel Digital Darkroom enables users to use on-line applications, or "Weblications", to edit and enhance pictures on-line, create and display photo albums or slide shows and E-mail pictures, photo albums and multimedia shows. Reprints, enlargements and photo merchandise can be ordered on-line at The PhotoChannel Store. The site will soon offer photography equipment, accessories and supplies as well. The huge amount of information contained on the PhotoChannel will be easily searchable with the PhotoChannel search engine. Users can use the feature to quickly research by topic and search for photos by category, keyword or description. ******************************************************************** Congrats on some great timing, getting in right before the runup. The fact that the stock did not sell off, in spite of massive volume, on the financing news (which came out after the market closed on Friday) is very bullish IMO. Usually these Canadian juniors sell off at a point like this because the folks that are in the financing short the hell out of the stock in order to lock in their profits. They're obviously gonna need a helluva lot more $$ than the C$1 mm that they are raising in the current financing, but I guess they figure that this will be enough to get the site launched and then they can issue more shares to raise the rest, at a much higher price than currently. I hear that they basically already have a verbal commitment for another $4 mm.
