Ok, you are saying that, had the SI3 infringed BW's copyright, infringment of copyright carries statutory damages. Please tell me how the SI 3 infringed BW's copyright?

My understanding of the matter is that the SI3 paid BW to carry their press release, which was for a company which did not exist.

The injury to BW, as I see it, is that it became painfully obvious to anyone who cared to see, that BW does not independently verify the bona fides of the press releases it carries, which is a fact. Like it or not. And if that reflects badly on BW, it is, nevertheless, a fact.

Having true facts reflect badly on one isn't actionable.

Tell me how I am wrong.
