<How can they still be in business...>

Every once in a while I check this thread to see the latest horror story. It actually does surprise me that these crooks are still in business.

Not to beat a dead horse, since I posted this some time ago, but I had an executive at Web Street tell me, in writing, that "up to 48 hours for a fill confirmation is acceptable in the industry". That was after they had bilked me for thousands due to outrageously late fills (in one case, Monday afternoon confirming an early Friday morning trade).

My attorney, who was formerly in legal at NASD, could not believe their arrogance. They were unwilling to acknowledge any responsibility for their unfair business practice, and even more unwilling to compromise in any way.

Hypothetical, but I'm sure this has happened...one day we'll hear the Web Street story about getting the margin call prior to getting the fill confirmation. Some poor soul will post that soon enough, that is, if they somehow manage to stay in business.

Anybody remember the movie "The Firm"? Remember how it ended...
