Guess what? People don't mind paying for AOL for alot of reasons...AOL's email service is still way better organized than any other isp, plus do free isp's give you multiple email accounts? Let's face the facts...We DO get we we pay for...It all depends what the user wants....and so far, 18 million users are paying, because they like their AOL.

They will be free forever on that part of it (ISP).
AOL has it wrong, they are lying to you folks (IMO) how can they feel the free ISP will loose? HELLO! Advertising revenue will skyrocket all the way till 2006 easy!

AOL is got their mouth full with party favors after laughing at all you subscribers for paying for AOL, get Netzero it's free folks! FREE

netzero.com

How do you think I posted this message?

1. rate for banner ads has been dropping. although network cost is dropping too, the margins for netzero to live on is very thin, and they live at the mercy of uunet/sprint/qwest... etc. it's an interesting experiment with VCs' money, but frankly I doubt this is a sustainable business model. anybody know netzero's 'burn rate'?
2. Tritium 'temporarily' suspended service, I think last year, and I still haven't heard from them... it's not that nobody has tried this before, I am not sure more money will make a difference.
3. I am sure you have your backup access right?
4. Nothing is free in this world, HELLO.....:-)

The proof is in the pudding...You are right, Netzero is FREE.

Ask yourself a question.....how come we are not all rushing to the aol exits to sign up with netzero.

I have no problem paying $20 a month for what AOL provides...and I am sure I represent the consensus opinion....in fact, I know it....19 billion subscribers agree with me.

Have a great afternoon.
