CMGI-owned marketing firm Engage files for IPO

ANDOVER, Mass., May 10 (Reuters) - Internet marketing firm Engage Technologies on Monday said it had filed with U.S. regulators for an initial public stock offering, making it the latest of Internet venture firm CMGI's companies to go public.

Goldman, Sachs & Co. will act as the lead underwriter of the offering. Other underwriters will include Hambrecht & Quist and Bear Stearns & Co. Inc.

Engage, a majority-owned unit of CMGI Inc. <CMGI.O>, offers a range of software products and services that enable Web publishers, advertisers and merchants to target advertisements and e-commerce product pitches to their audiences and to measure their effectiveness.

Engage's core products and services include Engage Knowledge, a database that contains more than 30 million consumer profiles.

It also offers Accipiter AdManager, an online advertising management system that automates the scheduling, targeting and delivery of ads on Web sites and the reporting of campaign results.
