NEOCON, Some smart guy on this thread told me that I have a persecution complex!! I do. They gave it to me! They gave us tatoos and they mudered our fathers and mothers! What else do they expect! Now, this Flamod caveman is telling us that he reads he reads Stefan Zweig's autobiography! Neocon, this writer for most of my generation and my fathers generation was maximum expression of Jewish humanism. His books were banned by the Nazi's and burnt. He wants to impress me that he knows how to read! He complanis that Jews of Antwerp voted for a right wing party?? Big deal, the Jews of Antwerp are free to vote for whatever party they want. He hates them beause they are Ortodox, or Hasidim,or SHAS. Their appearance bother him!! Maybe it is their blakc Kaftans and pelts that he doesn't like!! I respect these people and wish I had the courage to live like them! They don't steal, don't lie, and don't kill people. All they want is to be left alone to live their lives. I know many Belgium Jews and I have relatives there! As late Mr. Begin said, never, never, never again these people will rule us with fear! I rahter Rev. Verdine that him. Verdine express's himself for what he really beleives in and dosn't hides behin a facade of humanism! This guy does! He wites to me in his post " Why don't you tell your fellow Jews!" He talks to me abou them as they are a herd of sheep! This caveman pretends that he is from the left! Well, we European Jews know these wolves dressed like sheep. They come form one extreme to another! But they are all the same! Htold me in his post today, I am sur you read that post, "Necon is a good Jew, he is polite!" This really pissed me off! Neocon, What do you mean by anti-Zionism? Please enlighten me!! See, I think that the time's over now for anti-Zionism... I'm a pragmatic guy so why should I stick to an opinion which basically calls for... reversing History? Bringing all the Jews currently living in Israel back to their ''former'' homelands?? Including all the Israeli kids who were born in Israel and have never known another country? Hey, I'm not that cruel! It's just too late to debate such an issue: remember that even the PLO Assembly has removed the ''destruction of Israel'' fine print from its organic Charter. And since I personally don't have any stake in the Middle East, I guess that all I want/wish for the people living over there is what any other sensible person might want, that is ''peace and love'' for the whole lot of them! As far as anti-Judaism goes, let me tell you that I've long ago given up listening to all this BS devoutness! We have a nice word in French, which is bondieuserie and which I'd translate as good-lord-stuff, and let me tell you that I make no difference between a Baptist reverend, a Catholic priest, an imam, a buddhist monk, a Jewish rabbi, and a Scientologist quack! I lump them all together... Neocon, you should remember what I told you before: society is a patchwork encompassing diverse communities, ethnic groups, and sociological strata that all pursue their own agendas. To deny such an evidence is either stupid ignorance or conspiratorial duplicity. Some people like you don't want to acknowledge such a truth: people like you would delude themselves with fairy tales such as ''we're all one family'', ''we all stick together'', ''don't listen to these birds of ill omen hinting at dividing lines between us'', and so on... Now, I tell you that fostering such a hive-ideology is nevertheless counterproductive: people should not be duped into believing that their society is a crystalline and flawless fabric. Instead, they should take on their differences, and they should learn how to cope with different people. In short, they should try to eliminate fear. Gustave.
