jon, Just wanted to say that I believe WST has been quite consistent in indicating that he is NOT an expert through his ever-present closing comment, "Just my views". For those who are SI members, a quick look at his/her profile would clarify that WST is not a self-proclaimed ANALyst <g> but a 'computer systems engineer' by trade. I know nada <gg>, so perhaps he is a really a scammer (or is that "spammer"?) in actuality but I sorta doubt that to be true. :) I agree that the 'pros' oftentimes are clueless and spew their opinions basically because they're paid to do so. They have a 50/50 chance of being right so they keep plugging away. We have many users on SI who are far superior to any of these professionals in terms of their abilities in TA, FA, DO DA, and so on. ;) And, since stocks do actually rise and fall over time they can always say, "See, I was right!" even if that may be eons after their initial prediction. Take pity on them for they know not what they do. <gg> I agree fully with you that newbies to investing and to the net stocks in particular ought to use considerable caution when playing the nets as even seasoned investors/traders can be easily burned by the untimely volatility of this sector. I don't believe that WST's posts would be the cause of a novice jumping into GNET at 195 (long) however. ;) Anyone reading these boards must take responsibility for his/her own decisions at all times and if one chooses to follow another blindly, then s/he ought to expect the best but prepare for the worst! The volume of information available to the investor on this site - both the longs and the shorts - would leave no reasonable excuse for one who chooses NOT to do the necessary DD prior to investing. I think we are all in agreement though, that GNET is THE net stock to be in, whether one buys and holds forever like Svejk or trades it 583 times a day like Wall Street Tips. <gg> Either way adds up to MO MONEY MO MONEY MO MONEY in my book. One only need to peruse this thread and the many press releases to fully comprehend the future of this company. Tremendously competent leadership, big-name financial backing, REAL earnings, forefront technology, mega-portal site, lotsa cash and the best darn financial site anywhere to be found. My wife may be jealous, but I do love my GNET. :) Finally, you stated: <<i understand that. but this is not a spam thread>> My understanding of spam is when a user pushes a stock on a thread whose topic is NOT that particular stock, and typically, s/he posts this 'info' on several threads as well. What I believe you're referring to is "hype" <ggg>. (What's wrong with a little hype now an then, huh?) :) In any event, I must direct you to SI Admin (Bob)'s profile for a clarification of this. Be sure to give it a minute to load the audio. LOL!!Member 4591117 Kind regards to you.
