I can remember sitting at Lockheed 7-10 years ago when they
told us Lockheed was going to partner with Motorola on the
Iridium project to enable telephones anywhere in the world.
Seemed like a good idea. Now, looks like it is kaput.

Makes me a little sick to my stomach.....

At the lake full time now. It is raining (naturally). Still, better
than the 70 mph winds in Houston this morning. Just got my ISP.
V90 line but surf'n at 28k. Guess that is the price you pay for being
more than 3 miles from the Central Office (7.5, actually). Sigh!

They charge too much to use their phones...simple as that. I heard it was $70 per minute or something like that with the phones costing $1000. I don't think that many people without phone service have them bucks.
