Looks like 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM passed without anything significant from the NASDAQ index. However, a few interesting observations. DJIA and S&P 500 have been sold off intraday. I see the Internet secondaries extending their gains, even managing to perform breakouts on top of gains made earlier in the day. Also the out-of-favor but not forgotten AMZN and YHOO posting good gains, along with stocks like AOL and even CPQ. There is definitely growing interest in the tech sector but many apparently are trying to figure out how to play this market. Until the "bottom fishers" and the new money continue to place more focus on the Internet secondaries, I do not think we will be seeing a start to a rally. But since the NASDAQ market is continuing to shape up, perhaps tomorrow will be the day when the NASDAQ market will come alive. Bob Graham

Gawd help me, I'm looking at AOL putz for real. For me, AOL has to convincingly take out 133-135ish to go long. If this fails I think the next downdraft could take out the 112-115 support and bee-line to 75-80. Looking at AOORT, AOORB. AMGN, failing to break above 65-66, and losing support at 60ish spells "close the gap from 45-50". AMQRL. EMC, truly tough right now, I'm actually thinking there might be more downside, low 80's, before the flush has finished. Not playing, but thinkin' 'bout it. Haven't opened any positions yet, just thinking outloud. Cheers, D
