OT lol, michelle. to be honest (and this is where i get politically very incorrect) i remember decembers that never saw the sun once, that drizzled incessantly, when i woke up in the dark, when i went to school in the dark, i left for home in the dark. i never knew why i was depressed at the time lol! we have lived here for 20 years now south of you. alternatives? hawaii maybe. but we are just perfectly content right here. fwiw. (but still love visiting my family far up north in August lol)
