Sea Otter,

I personally don't have one of those cell phones, but it would seem to me that a small graphical screen would be very limited indeed. Certain exceptions would be caller ID, short messages, etc. It would also seem to me that any screen that would be functionally useful for internet access (that would be acceptable to users) would make the phone to bulky. I know that technology is changing at lightening speed so this could change, but I remember all the failed miniature gadgets that have been produced in the past. I think consumers can take miniaturization only to a point.

I am interested in hearing the responses from the other carriers that have trialed Portico over the last 9 months or so. It would seem to me that the pressure is now on those carriers to bring to market a similar product such as BellSouth's version of Portico. I am also interested in what portion of the $29.95 goes to GMGC. Other carriers may try to put pressure on GMGC to lower GMGC's pricing. Hopefully some discussion at the CC will be devoted to the BellSouth agreement.

Take care,
Kurt
