Bruce, if I can interject. I've seen a posting that QCharts can actually run from a 9600baud modem. Obviously, the initial startup will be slower, but it is possible.

Regards,

Dan.

>>What is the data rate of your wireless modem?

They advertise 28.8k, but in reality, the data rates
vary all day, location of modem, how many users clogging
the network etc.. 500 bytes - 1500 bytes per second
seems to be the range, 1k/sec being average.. The highest
ever I seen was 2.0 - 2.2k /sec..

When the choices are;

1. no internet during market hours.
2. internet access during market hours with wireless only.

Then option 2 works well when using QCharts as long as you
don't flood your screen with alot of charts and stock symbols <g>
If so, then you get more lag... Seems to be the best data
feed for low bandwidth situations... I'm sold..
