Danny, good point. The ideal is to be rich at all stages in life. For instance, you are right that a 23 year olds idea of rich is different than a 45 year olds, however, at 23 one can take off 12 weeks and go to Spain if he is rich (according to his view). He can drink Corona on the beach, chase women, etc. At 45, maybe the guy has more $$ but with the wife and kids, the job that takes all his time, things are not that great even with $$.

In short, I think as long as people are happy at their age that is the important thing.

It's really all about time horizon and if you have 100k at 23 you will have way more than 10m if you invest right!!

New Perspective on flipping.
Why would Etrade penalize people when they can make $20 bucks a pop on commissions? Etrade's bread and butter is commissions.
