I'd say your reply is puffery, Les, but that's par for the course among the local bloviators. When in doubt, make something up out of your "lifetime of memories". I thought you might appreciate Pulitizer Prize winning columnist Maureen Dowd's column yesterday, Les. Or do you just read her when some "objective" right wing wacko rag picks the "right" column? This one has an ending I'm sure you'll appreciate. Guns and Poses nytimes.com The President deserves credit for his push on gun control. But this is the moment to be brazen. He's wandering the White House halls looking for a legacy. How about a take-no-prisoners, give-no-quarter campaign against the N.R.A. and a ban on handguns? Yeah, yeah, fat chance Maureen. Liddy Dole has more or less enlisted in the cause, but in the end, the gun nuts will rule as ever. A well regulated militia, indeed.
